HOW TO USE ZOOM
Few of us like having to learn ‘new technology’, I’m one of them! But zoom is easy to use and allows you to keep learning art. Members who join do enjoy it and many prefer it to being in the actual class room!
First thing you need to do is download the free app. You do not have to create an account to use zoom if it’s only to join meetings – just download the app, from www.zoom/us then follow the on screen instructions
Once downloaded you join the class by an invitation I email to you, example below.
roy munday is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
Topic: Tuesday morning watercolour class, 13th October
Time: Oct 13, 2020 09:30 AM London

Meeting ID: 460 766 7752
Passcode: 2sJywh
Then you tap or click the long code starting with https:// and that gets you into the meeting.
On entry, you might be asked to join with video & join with computer audio. Once you join the class, depending what device you’re using, you will see various icons, on a laptop they are on the bottom as seen below. I think for an ipad or tablet, you have to tap the screen to bring them up. There's only two icons you need to familiarize yourself with, below.

If you prefer, this YouTube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9isp3qPeQ0E , explains how to join a zoom class for the very first time if you find it easier than my instructions. It’s targeted for the US users, so ignore other ways to join and just tap the long code.
