VISIT TO MARTIN MERE WETLAND CENTRE. Recently members spent a weekend at Martin Mere, doing preliminary work in sketches, photos and drawing, preparing for our group's exhibition at Martin Mere, Merseyside.
Despite bad weather on the Saturday, members braved the rain and managed to gather sketches and photos. The next few months they will develop this information into finished work.
PAINTING OUT OF DOORS. When the weather improves, on a Monday, we meet up at various locations to give members the opportunity to work direct from the subject. Most artists can find it a bit intimidating working alone in public. This regular event will give members the encouragement and confidence to work by themselves. Once you get a flavour of working out-of-doors it's something you get to enjoy.
Left. YOU WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO TRY NEW WAYS OF DOING ART!
Recently, members were introduced to doing 'collage' work and mixed media. This allows you total creativity. Using a variety of materials, that may not even be art related, but things you might have at home - magazines, newspapers, wood, leaves, yes, virtually anything. It just needs imagination and planning.
